A very cool casting by Matchbox. My uncle owned one of these VWs in wagon form, it was a very cool vehicle. This model has well-done tampos and the details are cool to look at, I got very lucky finding this one at the 99 cent store :)
I may had stretched the theme days rule a bit too far, but I guess it’s okay for this awesome MBX Best of the World Dodge pickup. The tampos, the wheels, the colors, everything’s so good about this casting!
Welcome again to Forty 3rd which tackles models within the 1/43 scale and smaller. Here is another pickup from a Deutsch branded car in the tradition of the Ford Ranchero of America.
This series will deal with models greater than 1/43. Here is a nice casting made by M2 better known for their 1/64 50's car with a ‘58 Chevy Apache Cameo R 43 in 1/24.
Based on the DKW-Vemag, or Belcar after a while, the Vemaguet was the family wagon. Wagon + family + sunday = funday, so I really bent the theme day naming rules this time!
A nice 1/43ish (I think) model from Lledo. This was put out as a promotional casting for Chevron gas stations. This truck has awesome tampos but now windows (I think the majority of Lledo castings had no windows). It is hauling oil drums from the refinery to the distributor. I wouldn’t mind being behind the wheel of…
I am a sucker for hot rods/dragsters, not to the point where I will buy just anything HW comes up with, but if it looks good, I will get it. This pick up truck is a great color, I have scraped the paint off of the headlights to make them stand out. I didn’t do anything to the chevron-shaped taillights because they are…
I also have the orange version of this guy, I do like this one much better though, the stripes scream 197o’s and the colors are great, I wonder if they ever came out from the factory with this paint job. I wish they had done such a good job with the Chevy Luv, there was just something about the Luv that I just didn’t…
The tampos on this one are so 70's! I’m still digging the white + colorful stripes on this one. Got this sweet C10 on Frosted’s iHWEP!
I love M2's haulers but the big size limits my collection unless it’s something that really caught my eye. Well this one did as I like the look of the L600 which is almost similar to the A100. It first started with Lindberg’s Dodge L 700 with flatbed trailer model kit.
Since I got the ‘79 Ford F-150 from the Trucks Series recently, I thought I’d show the most recent release with an early release from way back in 2002.
Here is a 1/43 scale Toyopet (Toyota) Masterline Double pick up. The Masterline was introduced in 1955 as a passenger car and the range expanded to include the Masterline RR16 pickup, the Masterline RR17 van and the Masterline RR19 double pickup (with two rows of seats). The double pickup was added in August 1956,…
Just in case you’re wondering, I was thinking of proposing this title to Hugh Grant as a sequel to his “4 Weddings and a Funeral”.
‘67 CHEVY C10 PICK UP TRUCK BY HOT WHEELS
1966 DODGE A100 PICKUP BY MATCHBOX
Big thanks to Plasticprints for picking up the F-100 for me! Despite the 20mph winds we were having this weekend, I had to get it out with some other trucks to compare them.
The Subaru Brat by Hot Wheels, recently acquired. Great tampos and color on this casting. The rollbar, the roof lights and the seats on the back are great details, a very attractive model overall
I’m a sucker for old trucks, this is a1952 Chevrolet pick up truck by Hot Wheels, I love the color and the subtle pinstriping. I also like that Hot Wheels didn’t go with the small wheels in front and huge ones in the back theme. I have this same truck a 1/43 scale but in stock form, I will have to post that one later…
An awesome 1972 Ford Ranchero from Hotwheels, the tires seem a little to big for this casting though, but I really like the colors on it.
I had these old beat up castings lying around and wanted to try some... let’s say, advanced weathering techniques. The truck is a Yatming and the Corolla is simply marked, “Made in China”.
