Ninth day of the 11th month. Definitely one of my favorite days of the year!
It’s the ninth day of the eleventh month, so post the Porsche 911 diecasts that you have!
A great looking variation of the outlaw 356 Porsche. The wheels look pretty good and the color really makes it stand out (not sure if this is a bluish-green or a greenish-blue, ha ha ha), I still haven’t messed with the stance on this one, I think I will try to get a second one of these to mildly customize detail.
Long time no see, LaLD! Well, that’s not really true. I’ve been checking the site regularly but haven’t posted in a while. But never fear, I’m still around! Anyway, I’ve seen a lot of posts with the new Greenlight buildings lately. I also found a few of these and decided to pick up the STP garage. Not a huge fan of…
Maybe I should have saved this for Tuesday, but I was excited to finish. Pictured below is my teal 964 with camel interior. I posted some WIP on my IG page earlier but now I found some fitting wheels and got it clearcoated. Anyway, on to the picdump.
This is a thank you post to Forgeryfade. He hasn’t been around LaLD lately, but you may remember him from such hits as the Hot Wheels Key, to date LaLD’s most-read post.
I don’t know if you guys are familiar with this car, but the 911 owned by @joshyrobots on Instagram has to be one of my favorite examples of an early 911 out there. It’s so clearly well-used and well-loved that it’s instantly endearing. Plus, it has a killer roof rack.
And he’s very pleased with them. Still a WIP, and I’m still a noob at this (second time ever putting details on diecast) but besides the obvious, they included roll cage, interior, fresh idlers, and rolled down windows:D I hope you enjoy! In the meantime, I’m gonna have to keep practicing, to steady my hand.
Just a couple of Defenders I scored. I’m thinking I need to do another ‘safari’ shoot, soon. Whaddya say?:D
But, it’s for everyone’s viewing pleasure;) I promised a little comparison, so here we go. Tarmac Works and Schuco. Some pretty detailed cars in 1:64 scale. Image heavy!
Thanks philiphilip for explaining HWEP and for this BEAUTY! It turns out I only need the black flake painted one and the Speed Machines variations, and I’ll be caught up. I love this casting!
A couple of weeks ago, I showed off my Kinsmart Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Soon after I posted, I realized that I actually had another in a smaller scale from Majorette. I thought I’ll show off the differences between them and so here goes!
The Target over here seems to be in a dry spell for over a month or should I say it feels more like months without much of a restock of any case.
HW Car Culture Modern Classics Porsche 964 Carrera 2. Such a great model of my favourite Porsche 911.
Eeeeeyyyyy I’ve completed the variations :D Now, to look for those Johnny Lightnings! Always on the hunt.
Last year, Forza released the Lamborghini Centenario. A gorgeous model compared to the recent release of the Porsche 911 GT2 RS. What an utter fail. The model looks pretty good...except there some flaws. Theres not alot of details in the interior compared to the Lambo. The Lamborghini had carbon fibre looking detail…
UPDATE: Starts below... Sticking with my new policy of restricting myself to one “new” item if/when I make it to the flea hotel, I dug deep into the far corners of the indoor section (it was raining today...), and found a treasure:
